is in this sense that as students of the Faculty of Law convened to create spaces for dialogue between the university community since it is clear that our faculty is far from meeting its full potential primary purpose to educate professionals useful to society (Article 1 of the Organic Law of the UNAM). To accomplish this important task is essential that the student will be able to study allow us to develop our learning in an appropriate manner, having the right environment is a fundamental right.

In that report Dr. Manffer not mention the intention of the authorities improperly used university resources available to the campus, which materialized in the gradual installation of a comprehensive monitoring system with dozens of video cameras distributed at the premises of our school, or the construction of unnecessary marble floors with money from UNAM Foundation, an organization through which prominent businessmen as  Alfredo Harp Helu, Carlos Slim Helu cousin ⁴  tax deducted.

There are many other issues that need to inform, to collectively address their approach and alternative solutions, and every day that affect us directly in our training. This is the first to base our different positions and respectable individuals to subsequently seek a fruitful dialogue, not to use our needs and students to achieve personal perks or play on our campus education the grotesque spectacle of political parties and without giving away some seriously discuss product or to provide valuable proposals are expected to add arithmetically votes or affiliates.

Learning from the history of our University and most universities in the world we observe that only a democratic and autonomous student organization with a clear independence of the university, without interference from political parties or power groups, can ensure the improvement and protection of the interests of college students. That is the real historical basis of Article 18 of the Organic Law of the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico:

student societies, ie, groups that are organized in schools and colleges and the federation of these societies, be completely independent from the authorities of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and organized democratically in the manner determined by the students themselves.
